Schizophrenia is referred to as the split or dual personality disease. Due to improper organization of the feelings and thoughts, there are chances of suffering from this disease. This disease when caused can remain throughout the life due to personal loss or emotional disruption.

Types of Schizophrenia

The symptoms of Schizophrenia are dependent on the types of this disease. One of the most common types of Schizophrenia is paranoid schizophrenia. The genetic studies have proved that the causes of schizophrenia are not hereditary.

It is for sure that stress is not the cause of this disease. But, it can make the condition worse. There is a false notion of the drugs being the cause of this disease. They might make the condition worse but not the actual cause. This disease is a mental disease which is caused due to biochemical changes along with the physical changes in the body.

Some of the common symptoms of schizophrenia include unclear speech of a person or he may face difficulty in following the normal conversation. The person can be found with blank look, giving remarks without any connection of the topic and many more.

Treatment of Schizophrenia

The persons who are severely suffering from this disease needs to get hospitalized where they are treated with the drugs or different types of psychotherapies. Tranquilizers are the most effective drugs which help to change the imbalance chemistry of the brain. The doses get reduced with the good change in the health condition of a person. In some cases, people require taking regular pills or injection at regular time duration. Sometimes, the doctors also suggest the antidepressant drugs. The electric shock therapy is also given but in very rare case when the condition gets severe.
