Scientists state that they have created a very powerful PSA (prostate specific antigen) which shall distinguish the patients of prostrate cancer who could recidivate after their treatment. In a research which was announced this week in PNAS journal, the examination showed to be three hundreds sensitive than the other PSA examinations which are commercially available.

The researcher from Northwestern University, Chad A. Mirkin has invented this test and he is also the co-founder of the company which is going to market it. He explains about the molecular technique, based on nanotechnology. The first thing which was proved by their research was that everyone will have a calculable PSA level after removal of prostrate. This was not possible to measure using current tests.

Working Of The Test
